About Gratia

There are pieces that decorate, and there are pieces that transform a space

Gratia Terracotta Pots are born from clay, time, and calm, each one made to have presence, texture, and timelessness. They are not factory-perfect objects, they are not mass-produced, nor do they contribute to a "fast furniture" industry. Our pots are pieces with a life of their own, that become more beautiful as the days go by, alongside your plants.

Who is Ana?

Ana imagines and designs each piece. The natural clay takes shape and is fired in a Portuguese pottery. Then, Ana brings it to life by hand: the painting and the finishing touches, one vase at a time, as if it were the only one. Because it is.

Care

How to care for your pot

Small rituals to keep your terracotta beautiful for generations. Did your order arrive damaged? Contact us within the first 48 hours.

Cleaning

Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid bleaches, acids, abrasive detergents, and pressurized water.

Irrigation and drainage

Ensure good drainage and allow the clay to dry out between waterings: porous walls breathe.

Interior

Use a saucer underneath to protect surfaces from moisture.

Exterior

Avoid direct heat sources (fireplaces, heaters, flames) and protect from frost and extreme conditions.

Handling

Avoid drops and impacts: small chips or cracks can allow water to infiltrate.

Natural patina

Variations in tone and patina are part of the life of clay: each pot becomes more beautiful with time.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How are vases made?

Each pot is made of natural clay, fired in a Portuguese pottery, and then painted and finished by hand, one by one.

Are they suitable for outdoors?

Yes. Acclimatize them gradually and protect them from severe frosts.

How long does shipping take?

Each piece is hand-packed with reinforced protection, and shipments leave on Tuesdays and Fridays. The delivery time is 8 to 10 working days.

What is your return policy?

You have 14 days after receipt to return unused items, in accordance with European distance selling legislation.

What if the order arrives damaged?

Check the order at the time of delivery and note any anomalies on the delivery note. Photograph the packaging and the product and contact us within the first 48 hours after receipt, stating the order number.

Do the pots have a warranty?

Yes. All pots are inspected before shipping and are covered by a warranty against manufacturing defects, in accordance with current legislation.

Are the hand-painted vases all the same?

No. And that's the beauty of it. Each piece is individually decorated, so the distribution of patterns, the shade of colours, and the placement of decorative elements vary from vase to vase, even within the same model. The photographs are representative of the general style; your vase will have its own unique characteristics. These handmade variations do not constitute a defect.

How to protect the pot from snow and frost?

In winter, lift the pot off the ground (using terracotta feet or wooden slats), move it closer to a sheltered wall, and reduce watering: water retained in the terracotta can freeze and expand. Avoid prolonged exposure to snow and severe frosts; the warranty does not cover damage caused by exceptional weather conditions.

I couldn't open the package in front of the delivery person. Now what?

If you cannot check the contents at the time of delivery, write "Subject to inspection" on the delivery note before signing. This will protect you in case of hidden damage. Then, check the pot as soon as possible and, if there is any damage, contact us within the first 48 hours with photographs of the packaging and the product.
